Terms of Service

Effective 5 July 2026 · Parentrix is operated by Anand Sankhe

1. Who we are and what this is

Parentrix ("we") is operated by Anand Sankhe (sole operator). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Parentrix at parentrix.com.

2. What Parentrix is — and is not

Parentrix is an AI companion for parents. It applies our own authored library of parenting principles to what you tell it and shows you where you stand and what to work on.

It is not a therapist, doctor, psychologist, or counsellor, and nothing it produces is professional advice. Its guidance is general principles applied to your words — not a diagnosis, not treatment, not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your family. You are responsible for the decisions you make. For any medical situation or emergency, contact a doctor or emergency services directly — Parentrix is not for emergencies. If the app detects a crisis in what you type, it stops and shows you helpline numbers instead of an answer.

You acknowledge that you are interacting with an artificial-intelligence system, not a human.

3. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older and a parent or guardian. Parentrix is not for children, and you must not let a child use your account.

4. Your account

You can use Parentrix anonymously. If you save your journey, you sign in with an emailed link or Google — no passwords. Keep your email accurate; it is how we reach you about your account. You are responsible for activity under your session.

5. Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break, probe, or overload it, no scraping or bulk-extraction of our content, no reverse engineering, no using the outputs to build a competing parenting-advice dataset, and no submitting other people's personal information without their authority.

6. Your content and ours

Yours. The text you type is yours. You give us the limited licence needed to run the service on it — to process it, generate your results, and store your journal — as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use it to train AI models.

Ours. Parentrix — the software, the principle library, the questions, the design — is ours (or licensed to us). We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it. The guidance generated for you is yours to use privately; the underlying library remains ours.

7. Price

Parentrix is free today. If we introduce paid plans: the price will be shown before you pay, renewals will be reminded in advance, and cancelling will take one click and no conversation.

8. Honesty about limits (warranty disclaimer)

We work to keep Parentrix useful and available, but it is provided "as is": we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for your situation. AI systems can be wrong. Read §2 again — it is the heart of these terms.

9. What we owe you if things go wrong (liability)

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including rights you have under the consumer law of the place you live.

Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total aggregate liability for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid us in those 12 months and (b) ₹5,000.

10. Ending things

You can stop any time — and can delete your account and all its data in one tap (Journal → Delete my account; immediate, irreversible). We can suspend or end accounts that break §5, and can wind down the service with reasonable notice.

Your data is not an asset to be sold. If the business is ever sold, merged, or wound up, personal data will not be transferred except under this same policy and these promises, binding on any successor — and never sold off separately.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction — except that: if you live in a country whose law gives you mandatory consumer rights or the right to bring claims in your local courts, nothing here takes those away.

For users in India: nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including approaching a consumer forum. Arbitration, if we ever propose it for a dispute, is your choice after the dispute arises — never forced on you in advance.

12. Grievance Officer (India)

Anand Sankhe, Grievance Officer — hello@parentrix.com. Complaints acknowledged within 7 days and handled within the timelines under applicable Indian rules; if unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Grievance Appellate Committee or the relevant authority.

13. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Parentrix after that is acceptance. Effective date: 5 July 2026.

14. The legal odds and ends

If a clause is held unenforceable, the rest stand. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement. We may assign to a successor bound by §10; you may not assign. Notices to us: hello@parentrix.com; to you: your account email or in-app.
